The Cooper & Hunter 28K Multi-Zone Outdoor Unit is a 28K BTU multi-zone outdoor unit that runs up to 4 indoor heads from one condenser. 22 indoor units are approved for it by the manufacturer and listed on this page.
It runs on 208–230 V and uses R454B refrigerant. It is rated SEER2 25. The manufacturer rates it to keep heating at outdoor temperatures down to -13 °F.

Is this the whole system?
This is the multi-zone outdoor unit. It runs up to 4 indoor heads from the approved list above; each head is ordered separately. Line sets and brackets are quoted with your order; call and we add them.
Can I install it myself?
Mounting, wiring and running the line set are within reach of a capable DIYer. The refrigerant connection and vacuum should be done by a licensed HVAC technician in most states, and manufacturer warranties usually require it. We can point you to an installer in your area.
What if I am not sure about the size?
Room size, ceiling height, insulation, windows and sun exposure all change the answer. Call (417) 812-0015 with the room details and we will confirm the BTU rating before you order.
Can I return it?
No. All sales are final, so size it right first: the builder and the sizing guide are free, and a person confirms the pairing on every order. If anything arrives damaged, we handle the claim for you, and defects are covered by the manufacturer warranty.
What refrigerant does it use?
R454B. Match it to any existing equipment or line set you plan to reuse; refrigerants are not interchangeable.
