Parts and compressor coverage terms are set by each manufacturer and printed on the warranty document included with the unit and on the product page under Documents. Terms differ by brand and series, so check the document for the exact unit.

Manufacturers generally require that the refrigerant connections, vacuum and charge be completed by a licensed HVAC technician, and that the installation follow the manual. Keep the installer's invoice with your warranty paperwork.
